Optimizing Business Opportunities and Community Empowerment TIM PPK ORMAWA BEM FEB Unud Launches Wedang Karsa Product at the 56th Anniversary of FEB Unud
Denpasar, Press Bureau of BEM, FEB Unud The Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program Team (PPK Ormawa) of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University (BEM FEB Unud) collaborated with Division III of the Entrepreneurship Division of BEM FEB Unud to build product branding awareness while selling Wedang Karsa products at the BEM stand at the 56th Anniversary of FEB Unud, which was held on February 9, 2009. The FEB Unud Anniversary celebration was attended by invitees such as Jun Bintang, a local artist who enlivened the event, as well as students, educators, Udayana University officials, FEB Unud alumni, and MBKM FEB Unud partners. The PPK Ormawa BEM FEB Unud team produced 10,900 grams of coffee powder to be marketed at the FEB Unud Anniversary event.
The FEB Unud Anniversary event is also a momentum booster for the PPK Ormawa BEM FEB Unud Implementation Team to carry out massive promotions to reach existing targets and introduce Wedang Karsa products, such as coffee from Karyasari Village, to a wider market share. This activity is also the output of the PPK Ormawa BEM FEB Unud Team program and the first step of the Wedang Karsa Business Meeting activities. The PPK Ormawa BEM FEB Unud Implementation Team also made this event for market research and as an early-stage evaluation because this is the first time a coffee product has been produced. Therefore, market research is very important to do in order to find out the advantages and disadvantages of the product from the consumer's point of view and improve the quality of Wedang Karsa Coffee.
With the support and platform from various parties from both the campus and Karyasari Village, the PPK Ormawa Team of BEM FEB Unud finally succeeded in empowering the Karyasari Village community and optimizing coffee production to get the opportunity to bring Wedang Karsa products to the FEB Unud Anniversary event. Empowerment of the community carried out by the PPK Ormawa BEM FEB Unud Team to increase the village potential and economy of Karyasari Village also received full support from Agoes Ganesha Rahyuda, S.E., M.T., Ph.D., as the Dean of FEB Unud. Agoes Ganesha is also very happy if his students can compete and develop business potential as an implementation of the knowledge gained in lectures. Meanwhile, the Rector of Unud, Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng., IPU, and his staff were very enthusiastic about the empowerment of the Karyasari Village pilot group by the PPK BEM FEB Unud Team, which has been able to develop the potential of the village and create Wedang Karsa products.
Prof Antara and his staff proved their support directly to the PPK Ormawa Team of BEM FEB Unud by buying Wedang Karsa Coffee products, which also showed Wedang Karsa's quality coffee products. Not only the Rectorate, but the Dean of FEB Unud and several educators were also interested in trying it. Thanks to the large number of participants from all levels of the Udayana University academic community, the PPK Ormawa BEM FEB Unud Team managed to sell more than the sales target that had been set.
