Unud Ready to Downstream Lecturer Research Products

Jimbaran - Udayana University (Unud) through a Business Incubator under the auspices of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) facilitates Research Lecturers who want to develop their products to be able to be streamlined. To make this happen through coordination of the Vice Chancellor for Planning, Cooperation and Information explored cooperation with several MSMEs and companies to collaborate in the downstreaming of research products at Udayana University Lecturer. There are two research products that will be eliminated, namely SOCTEA and Vaccine Innovation.

As an initial stage, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Rector of Udayana University and Iarsa's Karsa Abadi (Made Tea) and PT ILDC Group at the Jimbaran Campus Rectorate Building, Friday (6/19/2020). Also present at the signing ceremony were the Vice Chancellor for Planning, Cooperation and Information, the Chairperson of LPPM, the Head of the Bureau, the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the Chair of the Business Incubator and other invitees. In the signing ceremony, ILDC Group Commissioner Mr. Vo Hoang Chuong also joined online.

Unud Rector Prof. Dr. dr. AA Raka Sudewi, Sp.S (K) in his speech conveyed the collaboration of Udayana University with IUMK Karsa Abadi (Made Tea) initiated by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences with the aim to strengthen, promote, develop and improve Research Downstream Products with its innovation product called SOCTEA made from purple sweet potato leaves and moringa leaves developed by Dr. I Made Agus Gelgel Wirasuta. While the collaboration with PT ILDC Group was initiated by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine which aims to strengthen, promote, develop, and improve the Vaccine Innovation Downstreaming carried out by Prof. I Gusti Ngurah Kade Mahardika which will be developed with ILDC Group.

The Chancellor of Udayana University expressed his appreciation to all those who have contributed, because now the products produced by the academic community can be realized through collaboration with partners. It is expected that in the future there will be many other innovative products that will be eliminated given the many research results of the Lecturers at Unud which can be developed at the downstream stage. For this reason, LPPM Udayana University is asked to be able to motivate and facilitate the lecturers, and it is hoped that the product to be realized will be well received in the market.

The Chairman of IUMK Karsa Abadi (Made Tea) Ni Made Roni gave his appreciation to Udayana University who had involved IUMK Karsa Abadi in developing the SOCTEA product. For this reason, this idea will be maximized so that it can be realized in accordance with the vision and mission expected by the Joint.

The same thing was also conveyed by representatives of PT ILDC Group I Wayan Diana Putra Adnyana, SE, M.Sc, Ak who also expressed his appreciation for the cooperation that was established and hoped that in the future this collaboration could be immediately followed up at the stage of technical cooperation as agreed today.

On this occasion the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) was signed between the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Representative of PT ILDC Group to follow up on the Memorandum of Understanding that had been signed.
